A:    NO. Insty-Grill is used on area sandbars all the time.

3. Doesn't the end of the post get distorted from pounding on it?

A:    Testing found no distortion after pounding Insty-Grill into the ground thousands of times. The secret is to pound WITH FIREWOOD cuz wood is much SOFTER than steel. Besides, who wants to pack a hammer anyway?

4. How do you move Insty-Grill up and down?

A:    Easy, line up the openings in the wire rings with the pins in the post, and zip on to the desired height.

5. Can repositioning be done loaded with food, or does Insty-Grill need to be empty?

A:    Yes, repositioning is normally done with the food left on. No NEED to empty Insty-Grill beforehand. -Use common sense with heavier items. Always think safety first! BTW, always place hot dogs 'cross-grain' to counter them 'rolling' off.

6. Does this grill adjust to ANY height or are there just a couple of adjustments?

A:    Yes, it adjusts to 8 discrete heights, ranging from on the fire to 17 inches abuve the fire.

7. If Insty-Grill does adjust to any height, how? exactly does Insty-Grill do that?

A:    'How' is a patented Pass-Through technique (USPO# 4719898). The secret involves two steel permanently-assembled-together components: A) hanger with open-rings on grill; B) vertical post with permanently-fixed-pins. Component A) glides over component B), but ONLY when aligned, providing clear EFFORTLESS vertical mode change. When NOT aligned component A) and B) literally interfere, thereby making it impossible for the food to unintentionally slip down the post.

8. Does this grill adjust sideways?
